What is Telepractice

The American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) has defined tele practice as follows: "Telepractice is the application of telecommunications technology to the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology professional services at a distance by linking clinician to client/patient or clinician to clinician for assessment, intervention, and/or consultation”.

 

How is telepractice well suited in the delivery of Auditory Verbal Therapy?
Telepractice is an ideal method of providing Auditory Verbal Therapy and services to families of children with hearing loss because parents receive guidance and coaching to integrate and facilitate listening and spoken language strategies in to all aspects of life.
